Mahamevnawa Buddhist Meditation Monastery of Brisbane was established in 2022 with the sole aim of spreading the teachings of the Supreme Gauthama Buddha. It currently conducts monthly Sil programs, Children’s and Youth Programs, monthly Dhamma programs at a number of external venues, programs commemorating Vesak, programs during and at the end of the rainy retreat (Vassana) period, weekly Dhamma sermons, monthly meditation programs at the monastery, specially arranged Dhamma sermons and chanting of suttas blessing the devotees at their homes thereby carrying out a significant religious service on behalf of the community in Brisbane.
All the aforementioned activities are only possible due to generous donations made by you, and the community. Your donations go towards paying off the monastery mortgage, medical expenses of the resident Maha Sangha, insurance, visa and flight expenses, monastery telephone & electricity use, monastery maintenance, and other development costs, all of which are integral components of running this monastery.
In order to accomplish our aim of continuing our religious services as well as developing all physical aspects of the monastery, a method through which the public can conveniently make regular donations has been made. This method involves a subscription to a Yearly Donation schedule,
The options are outlined below:
– Yearly donation of $360 (If paying monthly, $30.00),
– Yearly donations for a total of $7200 (If paying monthly $60.00)
– Yearly donations for a total of $1080 (If paying monthly $90.00)
– Yearly donations for a total of $1440 (If paying monthly $120.00)
Any date can be selected to make the donation/s, with the provision that your date has not been taken by another donor. After the date has been selected, the monastery will email you a letter acknowledging the donation and share its merits with you. By subscribing to the yearly donations, you too can become a stakeholder in the development of the monastery and reap immense merits in your life.
මේ ලෝකයේ උපස්ථාන කිරීම් අතුරින් ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ වන්නේ සම්මා සම්බුදු රජාණන් වහන්සේට හෝ බුදු රජාණන් වහන්ස්ගේ ශ්‍රාවකයෙකුට සිදු කරන උපස්ථානයයි. ඒ බව අපගේ බුදු රජාණන් වහන්සේ අංගුත්තර නිකායේ සඳහන් අනුත්තරීය සුත්‍ර දේශනයේ දී මෙසේ දේශනා කොට වදාළා.
“පින්වත් මහණෙනි, යම් කෙනෙක් පිහිටි ශ්‍රද්ධාවෙන් යුතුව, පිහිටි ප්‍රේමයෙන් යුතුව, නොසෙල්වෙන පැහැදීමෙන් යුතුව, බලවත් පැහැදීමෙන් යුතුව, තථාගතයන් වහන්සේට හෝ තථාගත ශ්‍රාවකයෙකුට උපස්ථාන කරයි ද, එය උපස්ථානයන් අතර ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ වූ දෙයකි. සත්වයන්ගේ විශුද්ධිය පිණිසත්, ශෝක වැළපීම් ඉක්මවා යාම පිණිසත්, දුක් දොම්නස් නැති වීම පිණිසත්, ධර්ම මාර්ගයට පැමිණීම පිණිසත්, නිවන සාක්ෂාත් කිරීම පිණිසත් හේතු වෙයි. මහණෙනි, යම් මේ පිහිටි ශ්‍රද්ධාවෙන් යුතුව, පිහිටි ප්‍රේමයෙන් යුතුව, නොසෙල්වෙන පැහැදීමෙන් යුතුව, බලවත් පැහැදීමෙන් යුතුව, තථාගතයන් වහන්සේට හෝ තථාගත ශ්‍රාවකයෙකුට උපස්ථාන කරයි ද, එය උපස්ථානයන් අතර ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ වූ දෙයකි. මෙය උපස්ථානයන් අතර ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨම දෙය යැයි කියනු ලැබේ.”

බ්‍රිස්බේන් මහමෙව්නාව
ගෞතම බුදු රජාණන් වහන්සේගේ උතුම් ශ්‍රී සද්ධර්මයෙන් පිහිට සළසාලීමේ අරමුණින් 2022 වසරේ දී බ්‍රිස්බේන් මහමෙව්නාව භාවනා අසපුව ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. මේ වන විට එමඟින් මාසික සීල භාවනා වැඩසටහන්, ළමා වැඩසටහන්, යොවුන් වැඩසටහන්, මාසිකව සිදු කරන දුර පළාත්වල වැඩසටහන්, වෙසක් වැඩසටහන් මාලාවන්, වස්සාන වැඩසටහන් මාලාවන්, අසපුවේ සිදු කරන ධර්ම දේශනා සහ භාවනා වැඩසටහන්, නිවෙස් වල සිදු කරන ධර්ම දේශනා සහ සෙත් පිරිත් සජ්ඣායනා කිරීම් ආදී නොයෙකුත් වැඩසටහන් සිදු කරමින් සුවිශේෂී ශාසනික මෙහෙවරක් සිදු කරනු ලබයි.
මෙසේ බොහෝ දෙනාට සෙත සුව සළසමින් මෙම භාවනා අසපුව පවත්වාගෙන යනු ලබන්නේ සැදැහැවත් ඔබගේ පින්බර දායකත්වයෙනි. එසේ ඔබ පිරිනමනු ලබන මුදල් පරිත්‍යාගයන් අප අසපුවේ මාසික කුලී වාරික පිය වීමටත්, සංඝෝපස්ථාන සඳහාත්, දුරකථන සහ ජල විදුලි බිල්පත් සඳහාත්, ස්වාමින් වහන්සේලාගේ වීසා සහ ගුවන් ගමන් ටිකට් පත් ආදිය සඳහාත්, අසපුව තුළ සිදු වන සංවර්ධන ක්‍රියාවන් ආදිය සඳහාත් යොදා ගනු ලබයි.
උතුම් ශාසනික කටයුතු තව දුරටත් සාර්ථකව ඉදිරියට පවත්වාගෙන යාම පිණිසත්,අසපුවේ ඉදිරි පැවැත්ම පිණිසත් ඔබට ආධාර කිරීමට වාර්ෂික දායකත්වය නම් වූ ක්‍රමයක් සකස් කර ඇත.එමඟින් ඔබටත් ඒ මහත් වූ පුණ්‍ය ගංඟාවෙහි කොටස් ක‍රුවන් බවට පත්විය හැක්කේය.

එක් වාර්ෂික දායකත්වයක් $360 (මාසිකව ගෙවන්නේ නම් $30 බැඟින් )
වාර්ෂික දායකත්ව දෙකක් $720 (මාසිකව ගෙවන්නේ නම් $60 බැඟින් )
